I am fascinated by human behaviour and what drives people and makes meaning. I learn something new about myself every day and my teachers are all the people I meet! I am constantly learning and growing. I love people and the fact that I have spent the last 19 years in corporate and agency recruitment is testament to that. I never underestimate the value that time and attention can give to others and my goal is to give that to someone every day. I feel very blessed to have such a wonderful group of people working with me at Synergy. I love coming to work.

Our profession requires a combination of courage, passion, empathy and the ability to laugh at yourself, even if no one else is! I am entering my 6th year with Synergy, 10th in the industry and have been fortunate to journey with a variety of people, from many different walks of life and have been rewarded with valuable lessons learnt at every turn. The most encouraging thing for me is to know that learning never stops – and for that I am eternally grateful. My goal is to continue to add value every day – no matter how big or small the impact.

With 15 years in corporate recruitment and the Human Resources Management environment and 2 years consulting in manufacturing, I ventured into full-time farming. After 12 years in farm production and product distribution, it seemed a good time to hand over the day-to-day running to my son. My return into the "people business" is both stimulating and enjoying.

When you are passionate about what you do, you enjoy it more, you do it better and are more committed to the success of your clients and candidates if you believe in it passionately.

My experience in recruitment goes back a number of years as a client dealing with several recruitment agencies. This experience has proven to be invaluable as I come from a good understanding of the clients' needs and expectations. After working as a Branch Manager in the Corporate Industry for ten years, I spread my wings and relocated to the UK for a few years. There I worked for a Retail Bank as an Assistant Manager, but made a career change and went to work for a Training Academy, where I was in charge of building and developing a new team. Fate then lead me to sunnier skies and I moved back to Cape Town where I worked for a Bond Broker for a few years. Joining Synergy has been such a positive experience for me. Every day I get to network and be part of building dreams. It is very fulfilling and rewarding!

I am a born nurturer, and really take pleasure looking after others and ensuring that everyone is comfortable, I guess it is no surprise I ended up in a recruitment team! After working in numeous different industries, including education, telecommunications and in the legal field in the UK, I am energised by the opportunity that Synergy affords me .. I graduated from Montrose Business College in 2009, having found particular passion in relation to Human Resources. As I have only recently joined the working world, my experience thus far has been completely life changing. I’ve always had a passion for people and I look forward to growing with the company and making my mark.
